The single’s ministry of the South Region of our church is in a Wednesday night series studying out the culture of our day versus what God expects in His church. They have already hashed over “The Culture of Peace” and “The Culture of Unity.” And then came November 14.

After a drawn out political battle for office in our nation concluded last week, over 550 college students from all over New England and New York gathered to make their own spiritual “Decision 2012” in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts for an incredible time of worship, prayer, fellowship and powerful preaching of God’s Word. The real future lies in these young hearts.

On Sunday, November 4th, the North region added a new family member.  Jodi Bryan, a campus student and sister of Andre Edmond, was baptized into Christ.  Andre and his new bride, Latoya, stepped into the water with Jodi after her tearful sharing about her joy in knowing Christ and determination to stay faithful forever.

Jodi's statement that regardless of anyone else's decisions around her, including her brother, she will stay faithful until the end.

During our congregational midweek on Tuesday, the 6th our brother, Chavon Campbell, was restored.  Chavon is the son of one of the pillar couples in the Hartford church, Harry and Karlene Tulier.  Baptized as a teen, Chavon chose to venture back into the world shortly thereafter.  Chavon apologized to the congregation, shared the reasons he drifted away, and why he chose to return to Christ.  His humility and gratitude were very clear and even more so the changes in his life.  God is truly merciful.

On Saturday, November 10, Rich and Mitchelle Robertson dressed up their one-year old baby girl, Eliana, and brought her over to the church building for a dedication ceremony.

On the weekend of November 9-10, elders and wives – along with prospective elders and wives – gathered in Hartford, Connecticut, from all across New York, New Jersey and New England. With over 35 couples in attendance, the fellowship was great, the unity was refreshing and the lessons were inspirational.
