There was a buzz in the room as soft, gentle music played in the background. This buzz consisted of conversations over games like Skip-Bo, Scrabble, and Dominos. But this mix wasn't your regular band of people... they were teenagers and elderly co-mingling together, hanging out, playing games, and having conversations - not a regular Saturday afternoon. But that's what our Youth Ministry did for 2 1/2 hours, an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon with friends and strangers alike. By the end of their time together, they weren't strangers anymore, but friends looking forward to next month's meeting all over again - with music playing in the background, games sprawled out on tables, and that all too familiar buzz we hear when we're in sweet fellowship. Maybe there'll be singing, too, this time...
