Each month, usually on the last Tuesday, all of the churches from New England outside of Boston meet together for fellowship, training, prayer and discipling. On December 7th, 20 or so leaders enjoyed a festive Christmas spirit with games, lessons and a lunch together at the building of the Greater Hartford Church of Christ.

For the past 3 months, beginning in September, the New England School of Missions (NESM) has seen 18 students (comprised of young, up-and-coming ministers of both genders) work diligently in the field of Christian Apologetics, Preaching, and Teaching the Word of God. Headed by Douglas Arthur, Kevin Miller, and Valdur Koha, the NESM has been a powerful learning experience for these students and has helped tremendously in the area of confidence in knowing and defending the Christian faith.
This past Tuesday, November 30, the students got a rare treat of having one of the International Churches of Christ’s very own “kingdom” teacher, Douglas Jacoby, visit them from Atlanta, Georgia and teach them a slice of his Apologetics class.

These evenings dealing with reports, finances and legal issues have the potential to be monotonous. However, on December 1, the church was inspired by the vision, faith and upward call of this dedicated group of servants.
