On Sunday, May 15, 2011, the Greater Hartford Church of Christ had the younger generation lead the church services both at 9am & 11:30am services.

On May 8, the Greater Hartford church devoted a day to encouraging mothers. Each morning service began with a flower being handed out to each mom. From the greeting to the sermon and even on to a spectacular baptism – mothers were the focus.

Three members of the Greater Hartford Church of Christ, Daeshawn Kelley, Julius Ferrer, and Robert Outterbridge, participated in a recent basketball tournament called Hoops-4-Hope held at BCC High School in Boston by playing basketball for 24 hours.

On Sunday, May 1, the Greater Hartford congregation began a study on the Old Testament book of Joel. The six-week series will included lessons on The Day of Locusts, Repentance, Grace, Battle, Decisions and Blessings.

On Sunday, April 24, the Greater Hartford congregation celebrated the day the world recognizes Jesus’ resurrection with special songs, communion, sharing, an on-stage cross, a stethoscope, a Christmas ornament, a “Grace” video and a huge rock. It was no ordinary Sunday as over 500 people streamed in to remember Jesus’ power or as we called it, “The Day Death Died.”
